Fees and Other FAQs:

** As of June 2019, I am no longer accepting new clients, as my practice is full. You are still welcome to reach out to me via email for referral ideas, and I will do my best to respond in a reasonable amount of time. As people do move on unpredictably from therapy, it's always possible that a slot will open up without a lot of forewarning, so again, please feel free to inquire, but know that if I'm not able to accommodate you, it is because I simply don't have the ability to, and it is not personal. Thank you for your interest: I am always grateful when I get new requests, as it means that my version of the work speaks to others in need. **

** Please also note that for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic, I am Telehealth only. My hope is to return in late Spring/Summer/Fall of 2021 to an office by Grand Central, but I am holding to what feels like the safest practice until further notice. **

  • My standard fee is $200 for 55 minutes, but I am willing to scale down to $100 dependent on income level and circumstances when I have sliding scale slots available (please note that, while I set aside a number of slots for sliding scale clients, these open up infrequently). I take only debit or credit cards for ease of billing and can provide you with monthly receipts upon request.

  • I do not accept insurance, but will happily complete invoices for out-of-network billing if your insurance plan provides out-of-network mental health benefits and you'd like to use them. If you elect to submit for reimbursement, once you have confirmed your out-of-network benefits with your insurance plan, I will set up a system to submit invoices directly to the insurance company on your behalf, so although your payment will still happen on the day of your session, it minimizes your busywork and efforts.

  • Because relational fit with a therapist is crucial, I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation so that we can both feel out whether my style and expertise will meet your needs. If you experience phone anxiety, we can conduct our initial communication over email, but I strongly prefer to speak at least once by phone prior to our first session if possible.

  • I would hope that this statement could go without saying, but other than not working with children and couples/families due to lack of targeted training in those specialities, I do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, marital status, citizenship status, age, or ability, and am actively a safe space for LGBTQIA clients.
